Should a Believer of God in Christ Jesus Celebrate Christmas, Easter, and Other Man-Made Holidays?

Updated: Jan 19

Are Man-Made Holidays Biblical?

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.  You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.  You shall not bow down to them or worship them...  ~ Exodus 20:2-5.

(I do not capitalize the names of false holidays and gods out of respect and love for the Lord my God and for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.)

Graven Images and False 'gods.'

Our Heavenly Father and Most High God of Israel has made it crystal clear that we are to have no other gods but Him. We see this in the above Holy Scripture verse, taken from the book of Exodus 20:3, and it is repeated numerous times throughout the Bible as well.  Even God's Son, Jesus Christ, has said, “…It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only (Luke 4:8).  Yet time and time again, history has shown and proven that God’s children continue to sin against Him.

God goes on to say in verse four of Exodus 20 that, in addition to having no other gods besides Him, we are not to even make any graven image so that we are not tempted to worship them. Yet how many of us have graven images in our homes, on our bodies, and in our lives?

A graven image is anything that is carved, sculpted, molded, or shaped from wood, stone, clay, and metal that represents humans, demons, animals, insects, birds, fish, reptiles, angels, saints, etc. This includes standing poles, flags, stones, and monuments. We are not to make them, and we are not to bow down and worship them (Exodus 20:5). No graven images and no false gods.

Some of you may say, “Well, I have some statutes and things like that, but I don’t worship them, so it’s okay.”  This is the wrong way of thinking.  God has commanded us not to make any graven images. He wants His Holy children to have nothing to do with them. Period.  And as God's children and disciples of Christ, we are to submit to God in every way and obey Him just as He has commanded us to do. Jesus has said, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do my will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me (John 6:37-39).”   Jesus also says in John 5:24, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

In addition, anything you put before God, such as money, is an idol and a form of false worship, for Jesus has said, “No one can serve two masters.  Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24)."

I should also note that anything you "assign" protective powers to is an idol and a form of evil worship: a cross, crystals, stones, dream catchers, statues, medals of saints, etc.  Just remember, if it is not rooted in Jesus Christ, then it is rooted in evil. In addition, any person you frame to hang on your wall in admiration and glorification, such as a family member, a celebrity, or even yourself, is a form of worship and idolatry. Take, for instance, the popular television show, “American Idol.” The name itself implies the show is about idols. All of this is an evil scheme and weapon devised by the devil against God and Jesus Christ to lead you astray in the hopes that you will forfeit your soul.  The only person we should glorify is God in Christ Jesus! (1 Corinthians 6:20, Isaiah 43:7)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. - 1 Timothy 2:5.

We also should not pray to the mother of Jesus or any statues of her; Nor should we pray to God's angels, or any saints.  This is paganism and idolatry; It is offensive to God!  If you wear a cross around your neck, it should NOT have a graven image of God’s Holy Son on it (crucifix). This is wrong and highly offensive to God.  Nor should you wear a cross because you believe it will protect you. Your faith in God alone protects you in Christ Jesus. God has said, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

You should only wear a plain and simple Christian cross as merely a symbol of your faith, love, and dedication to both God the Father and His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Nothing more, and of course, nothing less.

The Pagan Christmas Tree

The devil is the father of all lies, and the author of confusion (John 8:44).  Here is another example of how he has done a good job in tricking God’s children in an attempt to lead us astray: The pagan “christmas” tree.  Did you know that God and the Bible forbid the erection of this tree? In fact, the tree that many Christians put up in their homes is a pagan idol. It states in Jeremiah 10:1-5, “Hear what the Lord says to you, people of Israel.  This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not learn the ways of the nations… though the nations are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with a chisel.  They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter…their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk…they cannot harm nor can they do any good.”

The “christmas” tree is a representative of a demon Canaanite goddess named asherah. God warns us many times throughout the Bible not to build or erect this wooden god and to have nothing to do with it.  In Deuteronomy 16:21-22, it says, “Do not set up any wooden asherah pole beside the altar you build to the Lord your God, and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the Lord your God hates.” Nowhere in the Holy Bible does God tell us to celebrate christmas, easter, or any other pagan holidays. They do not glorify God in any way, shape, or form, but only dishonor Him. In fact, if you unscramble the words S-A-N-T-A, it spells “SATAN”.  Do you see how the devil has deceived us?

God commanded His chosen people to celebrate and observe the Appointed Festivals, not man-made holidays. You can learn more about this in Leviticus 23.

We should have nothing to do with standing images in the form of a memorial monument, column, stone, or pillar. Our Heavenly Father detests these things.  If you do careful research, you will find that the monuments and memorials around the world and in many of the cities and towns you reside in were, at one time or another, idols worshipped and erected to satan, demons, and false gods.  Even if you don’t worship them, why would you want anything to do with something that hurts, disrespects, dishonors, and makes a mockery of our Father in Heaven? Do you think our Savior Jesus Christ would have anything to do with such things?  Do you think He wants us to have anything to do with them either? I can answer for you with confidence, as the Holy Spirit is my guide: No, He does not!

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. - Colossians 2:8

Birthday Celebrations

Many times, we participate in societal customs, family traditions, and holidays without ever stopping to ask ourselves why we do them in the first place.

Early Christians avoided birthdays. They viewed them as pagan, but later adopted them to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. But where did it originate? Did God command us to do it? Did Jesus Christ instruct us to celebrate birthdays, or did He celebrate them Himself? The answer is no. Nowhere in the Holy Bible of God does the Father or the Son instruct us to celebrate this pagan holiday.

Birthday celebrations originated in ancient Egypt and Persia for royalty and the worship of false gods. The Greeks later adopted them by adding candles to moon-shaped cakes for a false goddess named artemis. As time passed, the Romans also adopted the tradition and included common citizens with modern traditions such as cakes, candles, and parties. These pagan traditions spread into the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, sadly, it is practiced by many Christians due to family ties and traditions, and out of a lack of knowledge and ignorance.

But Jesus Christ has warned us: "Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 10:37-39).

The entire practice of birthday celebration is demonic. Anything not rooted in Jesus Christ is demonic. The cake is round for a reason, because it is a ritual. When you light the candles and make a wish, who do you think you are making a wish to? It's all rooted in witchcraft. God has said: "Let no one be found among you...who practices divination or sorcery, interpret omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist, or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord...You must be blameless before the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 18:10-13).

God's chosen people did not celebrate birthdays or any other pagan practices of other nations. In fact, God instructed the Israelites with a strict warning: "...Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord." (Leviticus 18:3-5).

Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. - Revelation 22:15.

New Year's Eve & the "New Year"

The new year does not start at midnight on December 31. According to the Holy Bible, which is the Word of the Almighty God in Christ Jesus, the first day of the new year begins in the month of Aviv (Exodus 12:1-2, 13:4), which in Hebrew signifies the entire season of spring, new growth, and renewal.

The month of Aviv is when God commanded His Holy people to observe the Passover (Leviticus 23:4-8) and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. It commemorates the Israelites' liberation from Egypt (Exodus 13:3-4). This is an extremely important and Holy observance, because our Lord and Savior was also crucified and raised from the dead during this week.

We have all been lied to. The prefix "dec-" in the word "December" is from Latin and means decem, or in Greek it means déka, and both mean ten: decade (10-year), decagon (10 sides), and decathlon (10 events). December was the tenth month on the Roman calendar, but is now the twelfth month. Why?

This is also the case for September, October, and November. These months do not align with their numerical prefixes. This is all a part of the devil's scheme to deceive, manipulate, and trick us in an attempt to lead us astray from God's will in Christ Jesus.

Toasting

Have you asked yourself why millions of people each year watch a "ball" drop on New Year's Eve? Why do we "knock" on wood? Why do we toss coins in a fountain and make a wish? Why do we wear charm bracelets? Where did all these things come from, and what is the true meaning behind them?

With careful and sincere research, you will not only learn that most of these practices are rooted in superstition, but they also originated from the evil practices of devil worship, witchcraft, and paganism; All of which are against God's Holy Word and instruction to us in Christ Jesus.

For Jesus has said, "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons." - 1 Corinthians 10:21.

One day, I was having a glass of wine with my husband, and we decided to "make a toast" as we have oftentimes done before. But this time was different. As my husband was offering up the toast, the Holy Spirit of God spoke to me. I suddenly felt like what we were doing was wrong. Without knowing my inner thoughts, my husband ended the toast by adding the words "in the name of Jesus Christ" (something he had never done before), and I quickly said, "Amen.

Later on in the evening, I thought about it: When we "make a toast" to someone, who are we addressing? Why do we "clink" the glasses?

The Holy Word of God tells us: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."- Colossians 3:17.

God instructs us to do everything in His Name in Christ Jesus. I don't ever recall hearing the name of God or His Son, Jesus Christ, when most toasts are made. In addition, we shouldn't mix pagan practices with the sacredness of worshipping the Almighty God in Christ Jesus, because: "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons." - 1 Corinthians 10:21.

(Needless to say, I no longer clink glasses or participate in any more toastings.)

Instead, we should offer up all that God has given us with thanks and gratitude, and then make any requests to Him through faithful and sincere prayer: "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. All glory and praises should go to God the Almighty through His Son, Jesus Christ!

After my revelation, I decided to do a little digging on the "origins of toasting" and "the clinking of wine glasses." The results horrified me, and I immediately prayed to God and asked Him for forgiveness.

This is what I found:

  • The practice of raising a glass originated from ancient cultures where drinking was associated with honoring, worshipping, and making requests to false gods.

  • Toastings were pagan rituals involving libations, or offerings of sacred liquids to the gods, to secure good fortune or express gratitude for a wish; a prayer summarized in the words' long life!' or 'to your health!'"

  • Toasting was also seen as a way to ward off evil spirits.

  • Some cultures believe that not following certain protocols, maintaining eye contact during a toast, or clinking the wine glasses properly can bring bad luck.

  • Some believe "toasting" invokes a "spirit" from within the wine. (Many alcoholic drinks today are called spirits.)

  • Certain ancient cultures made a "toast" to the gods, requesting protection from any poison that may be in the drink. They also waited for the host to take the first sip to establish trust that the drink was safe.

Do you see how the devil has tricked us?

As believers of God in Christ Jesus, we have to stop participating in traditions without questioning why we do them in the first place. And if something doesn't feel right to us, we should listen to that, because God has placed His Holy Spirit in all faithful believers in Christ Jesus to guide us, protect us, and testify to us His truth.

Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you." - John 14:15-16.

God has made it very clear that we are not to partake in idolatry, witchcraft, or any superstitious practices, or He will turn His face away from us (Leviticus 20:6.Deuteronomy 18:10-13). (And make no mistake, toasting is a form of idolatry rooted in witchcraft.)

By attributing power to actions, objects, and rituals, we undermine God's Sovereignty in Christ Jesus and misplace our trust in other things instead of placing our full trust in Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

In addition, there are only two powers in God's Universe: Good and evil. So if you are not offering yourself to God in Christ Jesus and relying on His Almighty good power in all things, whose power are you calling out to?

1 John 1:5-7 reads: "...God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin."

Wine toasting, clinking glasses, and other pagan practices mislead us to believe we can manipulate our fate instead of relying on God alone through Christ Jesus: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13.

Something we also need to remember: God is faithful, He loves us, and He shows us much mercy in our ignorance (Lamentations 3:22-23), but once the truth has been revealed to us, then the choice becomes our own, and He will hold us responsible (Hebrews 10:26-27).

When we realize our sinful and wrong offenses against our Heavenly Father, we must repent and do them no more! (Acts 3:19), (1 John 1:9).

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will." - Romans 12:2

Not conforming to the ways of the world

We are not to follow the ways of the world for the Word of God says: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- His good, pleasing, and perfect will." (Romans 12:2.)

In addition, loving both God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ requires us to be obedient in keeping God's Holy Commandments.

Our Savior Jesus Christ said, "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." - John 14:21

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. - John 6:35

Key Takeaway: By placing importance on rituals, falsehoods, lucky charms, and omens, etc., we shift our focus away from a direct relationship with God and toward false practices that are not based on God's Holy Word in Christ Jesus. And remember, any practice not rooted in Jesus Christ is demonic and evil. I cannot stress this enough.

Do not eat from the "bread of deception," but rather eat from Jesus Christ, who is the "Bread of Life"!

The Origins of Easter

The name "easter" is thought to originate from "eastre," the Anglo-Saxon "goddess" of spring, whose festival occurred around the spring equinox. In pagan cultures, the rabbit or hare was a sign of fertility, and the eggs represented new life and the sun. These symbols were central to pagan celebrations and were later adopted by Christians.

As Christianity spread, it integrated existing seasonal festivals, aligning the themes of rebirth and new life from pagan spring rituals with the Christian message of resurrection.

In Egypt, the Orient, and many ancient civilizations, eggs were sacred and an integral part of religious ceremonies.

Our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, have NEVER instructed us to celebrate easter. This is a heathen man-made holiday that is idolatrous. It goes against the law of God and breaks His Holy Commandments: "You shall have no other gods before me." - Exodus 20:3.

Furthermore, God made it clear to us in Jeremiah 10:2 when He instructed His people: "Do not learn the ways of the nations." God instructed His Holy people to celebrate the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. You can read about it in Leviticus 23:4-8.

What About Dolls?

Dolls originated in witchcraft and are still used today for this vile, heinous, and sinful act.  The children of Judah and Israel never played with toys that possessed the likeness of humans or animals.  They had no teddy bears, barbie dolls, mickey mouse, or anything else that would go against our Heavenly Father’s Holy Commandments. Do you think our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as a child, played with a teddy bear or anything resembling an action figure or a doll?  Do thorough research, and you will discover that these things were used in Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and other pagan cultures.  Only in times of apostasy were Israel's or Judah's children ever permitted the possession of such things.

Allegiance to the Flag (idol)

We should never pledge allegiance to a flag, a sorority, a country, or anything else except to God! All these things are rooted in satanism and are evil. They are demonic and are against our Father in Heaven. America is built on a lie. Everything we have been taught in school is a lie. This world and country belong to the devil. It is currently under his control (1 John 5:19-21). The Bible tells us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12)."

What's really upsetting to me is that most churches have flags at the alter even though God has said in Deuteronomy 16:21-22: “Do not set up any wooden asherah pole beside the altar you build to the Lord your God, and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the Lord your God hates.”

However, God has the ultimate control and power. He is always ahead of us and awaits us to seek Him earnestly in truth, knowledge, and wisdom. "The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged (Deuteronomy 31:8)." Ask God to forgive you for celebrating these pagan holidays (4th of July included) and stop doing them! Do not conform to the ways of this evil world (Romans 12:2). If you have flags in your homes or images of them, please get rid of them at once! Please pray to God and research the false history and lies the world has taught. God will lead you to the truth, and the truth shall set you free! (John 8:32). And that truth is in His Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth (John 14:6).

The statute of liberty is an idol! A graven image that was made and created for worshipping the devil. Just look at how gigantic it is! This evil monument is erected in places throughout the world, too, not just in America. It's even in countries that dislike America. Why do you think that is? Why do you think "she" has July 4th inscribed on "her" tablet? We have all been deceived.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously, without finding fault, and it will be given to you." - James 1:5.

What Should You Do?

You should pray to God concerning this matter and rid your homes of any idols, graven images, and anything else that offends our Heavenly Father.  Do not give these evil objects to anyone else. You should discard or destroy them. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we do not want to be responsible for spreading evil to others. God has said, “Break down their altars: smash their sacred stones and burn their asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places (Deuteronomy 12:3)." We are also not to remove anything of value from them: "The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the Lord your God. Do not bring a detestable thing into your house, or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction (Deuteronomy 7:25-26).

God has also said, “Cursed is anyone who makes an idol - a thing detestable to the Lord, the work of skilled hands — and sets it up in secret. Then all the people shall say, 'Amen!" (Deuteronomy 27:15).

Submitting to God and being a true believer in Christ Jesus is not easy. But it is well worth it. We are not to conform to the way of this world: “Do not love the world or anything in the world.  If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — comes not from the Father but from the world.  The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever (1 John 2:15-17)."

In addition, Jesus Christ has said, “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? (Matthew 16:26).”

Our Father in Heaven is a merciful and loving God: “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love: according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions (Psalm 51:1).  He is constantly protecting us, even in our ignorance, because He loves us that much. He gave His one and only Son for us so that we can be saved (John 3:16). Is our Father in Heaven not worthy of our obedience and praise? "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being (Revelation 4:11).

But once we know the truth about the sinful and heinous things that satan has hidden from us, we must have nothing to do with them, but let us instead begin to obey God's Holy Commandments.

Jesus Christ has given us through His pain, suffering, and death on the cross, the gift of Eternal Salvation: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). But for us to receive the full reward of His gift, we must pick up our cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24-26).  Jesus has also said, “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters" (Matthew 12:30). In John 14:23-24, Jesus said: "...Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."

The Full Armor of God

Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. ~  (1 John 5:21)

"Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God."  (Ephesians 6:13-17)

I say all of these things to you with all the love from my heart, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

An Invitation to Accept Jesus Christ

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

If you are reading this and have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I ask you to do so now. You are not reading this by coincidence. The Word of God says: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." - Romans 10:9-10.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Our Heavenly Father and Creator sent Him to die for our sins (John 3:16). All sins, no matter how big, are covered by the sacrificing and atoning blood of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:13-14, 1 John 2:2, 1 Peter 3:18).

The time is now. There will be no second chance after death: "And just as it is appointed to man to die once, and after that comes judgement, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him." (Hebrews 9:27-28).

Life is your second chance. Every second of the day that you live, God is giving you the chance and opportunity to accept the gift of salvation given to all of us through His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross.

I repeat: There will be no other chance after death.

Jesus said, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." - Matthew 7:13-14.

Which road will you take? The choice is yours, but the time is now, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us. (Proverbs 27:1).

There is no "in between" either. You must pick a side, for Jesus Christ has said, "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters." - Matthew 12:30.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" - Matthew 28:18-20.

How to Accept Jesus Christ into Your Life

  1. Confession of Sin: Acknowledge you are a sinner and need forgiveness (Romans 3:23)

  2. Belief in Jesus: Believe He is the Son of God, died for your sins, and was resurrected (Romans 10:9)

  3. Repentance: Turn away from sin and self-centered living.

  4. Invitation: Ask Jesus to come into your heart and life as Lord and Savior.

  5. Commitment: Choose to follow Him and live for Him.

  6. Gratitude: Thank God for the gift of salvation and eternal life.

I plead with you, with all my heart, to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Please repent of your sins, and profess with your mouth from your heart the following: that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (John 20:31, 1 John 4:15, Romans 10:9), He suffered and died on the cross for the sins of the world, God raised Him from the dead three days later, and He accended into Heaven and now sits at the Right Hand of our Almighty Father and God (Hebrews 1:3, Romans 8:34). He will come again to judge both the living and the dead. (2 Timothy 4:1). And, finally, please make every effort to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Matthew 3:15),

You must confess all of the above things from your heart for the gift of salvation that was given by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, on the cross. If you need some help, please use the example below as a prayer from Pastor Rick Warren:

"Dear God,

I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

Remember, it's not just about the words, but the sincere attitude and change of heart that matters to God. You can pray in your own words or use the prayer above.

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World! Please accept Him into your heart and life today and spread the good news!

I testify by the Holy Spirit of God that these things are true. I say all of this to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, our Lord and Savior, amen.

"Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." - Revelation 22:12-13.
