Increasing Your Inner Strength With the Power of Self-Love

Our greatest defense against the adversary is self-love.

I have had to overcome many challenges and obstacles in my life. And, although I consider myself an extremely strong woman, I am also smart enough, and humble enough, to know that my source of strength comes from God the Almighty and from in the love of His Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior; for I can do absolutely nothing without the two of them.

Love yourself first and everthing else falls into place. ~ Lucille Ball

I have learned along the way that difficult times are often blessings in disguise, that I have to love and respect myself first before I can properly love and respect others, and that I should always let my inner strength be my guide. You see, sometimes, God allows us to go through difficult situations because He is preparing us for something Greater according to His will and His purpose - You don't grow in comfort, So God has to make us "uncomfortable" so that we can grow. He is only preparing you for the battle! So armor up!

Today, I want to share some important things with you:  I know how it feels to be isolated and alone,  I know it  how it feels to be “boxed” or “caged” in.  I know how it feels to be invisible, unheard, and unseen by the outside world. I know how it feels to be viewed as unworthy.  I know how it feels to have your soul crushed so badly that you actually pray sometimes to die.  I know how it feels to look in the mirror and not recognize the person staring back. And, finally, I know how it feels to be left with nothing except excruciating pain.

One day, the evil forces surrounding me was so heavy that I felt myself shrinking away to almost nothing; I was suffocating in a dark and thick fog, choking on what little oxygen was left to me.  But also in that exact moment, I felt the strength of my spirit say, “No, not today. Not ever. Rise up and be the strong woman God made you to be!” as I felt a supernatural force growing inide of me and literally lifting me up off the floor.

Our greatest defense against the adversary is SELF-LOVE.  You must know, love, honor, and respect yourself in all situations; It is imperative. Pray for guidance and God will give it to you.

The devil is the father of all lies and the author of confusion.

There is only one thing the devil respects:  STRENGTH.  Perhaps this is because he lacks it himself.  But be careful!  Because the very thing satan respects in you, is the very thing he will try and use against you. He is the father of all lies and the author of confusion - he will even use those close and dear to you in an attempt to control, manipulate, and trick you. His main goal is to tear you down so he can prevent you from achieving your purpose. And, believe me when I tell you that, you do have a divine purpose. God sent you here for a reason. Don't be fooled.

Here are some important ways for you to use your inner strength with the power of self-love:

  • Have a strong faith in God and in His son Jesus Christ. Pray to God daily and end all prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.

  • Only have positive thoughts about yourself. Your mind is very powerful and it can manifest things in a postive way, or in negative way....you get to decide.

  • Never speak negatively about yourself, not even jokingly; You become what you speak. Words hold divine power and magic.

  • Be involved in positive things and surround yourself with positive people. “Birds of a feather, flock together!” Be very careful who you keep company with.

  • Spend time in nature daily; Nature is medicine for the body, mind, and the soul.

  • Always speak up for yourself, even when you are scared.

  • When others refuse to respect you, make sure you stand up and show respect to yourself!

  • Never lower yourself to other people’s standards, views, or opinions of you. What they think of you is none of your business!

  • Always be respectful, but assertive, when protecting and defending yourself. How others treat you is a reflection of them: How you respond is a reflection of YOU.

  • Sometimes it is better to keep peace than to be right.

  • If something doesn’t feel right, it most likely isn’t…trust your gut.

  • Only consume healthy foods and drink plenty of water; remember, “You are what you eat!”

  • Learn to forgive youself. We all make mistakes. The only thing we can do when we have hurt or offended someone is to correct the offense, when possible, and to apologize with a sincere heart. It's up to that person whether to accept the apology, but at least we have done our part. We cannot carry that burden for them. Remember, forgiveness is not just for the other person, it's for us too - Christ died for all to be forgiven. If you don't forgive yourself, then Jesus died in vain. And, we all know, this is not true.

  • NEVER accept less than you deserve; You teach people how to treat you. Set healthy boundaries for yourself and always reinforce them; People will test you!

  • Stand up for what you believe in, even if it means standing alone.

  • Never bury your head in shame and don't drown in self-pity; This is probably satan's greatest weopon to use against you. Please know that you are doing your very best in this difficult thing we call life. We are all human and are all imperfect. You are going to make mistakes. Be kind to yourself, forgive yourself often, and know that you are doing the very best you can. Hold you head up high and never be ashamed of who you are, the mistakes you make, or where you are in your jouney. Remember, you have a purpose! You've made it this far and that alone is something for you to be proud of - God is proud of you, too!

  • Finally, know your worth! Because you were “fearfully and wonderfully made.” ~ Psalm 139:14. We were made in the image of God himself! And, He wants you to know your value in this world at all times and in all situations. It is not only your right to defend and protect your heart, mind, soul, and overall well-being, but it is your divine RESPONIBILITY. Period.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. ~ Mark 12: 30-31.

Brothers and sisters, there is a spiritual warfare happening right now on this earth.  Hold your heads up high, love the Lord your God with all your heart, might, and soul, and be fierce in loving and respecting yourself; in fact, make it a priority.

Be a light in the darkness and armor yourself at all times in the power of SELF-LOVE. It is your STRENGTH. It is your super power. The devil has no power or control over you when you learn to love and respect yourself first in all things after first loving and respecting God our Creator.

Peace, love, and many blessings. May God be with you as you armor up and prepare for battle! I love you my warriors!
